In 2021, our diocese established a sister relationship with the diocese of Jacmel, Haiti. This partnership is of mutual benefit, expanding our awareness of the universal Church and how the Church thrives in another culture, building friendships of spiritual support, and sharing material resources to build up the Body of Christ. This effort has been one of faith and mutual prayer with Bishop Hying and Bishop Toussaint supporting each other in the mission of proclaiming the Gospel.

We have also been able to offer material assistance to supplement the priests’ paltry salaries, purchase a common set of chasubles, assist the medical clinic which operates in the diocese, and are working to provide radio equipment to bolster their evangelizing abilities. Please join us in supporting our sister diocese of Jacmel, Haiti by saying the prayer and petitions below and by sharing your donations.

Loving Father, we give you thanks and praise for the salvation and mercy offered us through Jesus Christ. Bless the Dioceses of Jacmel and Madison, as we seek to live the communion of the Church as the Body of Christ. As we pray for each other, learn from each other and support each other in the mission of proclaiming the Gospel, bless our bishops, priests, religious, deacons and lay faithful. May all of our people know their dignity and worth as your beloved children, created in your image, purchased with the Precious Blood of your Son and anointed in the power of the Holy Spirit.
