Faith formation programs help children and youth learn about our Catholic faith and support them to live the Faith with their families. Since this is an ongoing process, faith formation programs are offered at our parish for those in Grades 1 through 12.
Please see below to register your child for any of our programs. You may download a copy of the registration form to fill out and return it to the parish office or you may register online. Please call the parish office at 603-424-3757 if you have any questions.
Grades 1-5 Faith Formation blends lessons at home with a once a month parent/child session at church. Those sessions are separate from the home lessons and involve faith formation for parents and children.
Research shows that parents are the first and best teachers of their children. Parents set family priorities and are powerful and important examples for their children. That remains true with Faith Formation. Parents engaged with the Faith help to form children who grow in their faith and remain engaged in the Faith as well.
Our goal: to plant seeds in the hearts of our children that develop into a lifelong relationship with God the Father and Jesus Christ the Son through the Holy Spirit.
The OLM Grades 1-5 Family Program:
All parent/child sessions will take place one Sunday a month (October through May) from 9:30-10:20am. Sessions will be held in the church hall. Sessions will include teaching and activities for both parents and children along with time for fellowship and fun.
Children will receive a grade level book at the first Family session. Those books will be completed at home under the guidance of parents, grandparents, neighbor groups, etc. It is our hope to engage families in learning about and living out the Faith.
Next steps:
Dates for Grades 1-5 Family Sessions 2025-26:
Sessions will be held in the church hall from 9:30-10:20am.
Grade level student books will be distributed at the first Family session.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) is a time of prayer and reflection on God’s Word presented in a child-friendly way. Two Sundays each month during our program year (September through May) children will be invited to the Children’s Liturgy of the Word after the opening prayer. Those who wish to attend will be led to the church hall to hear the readings from the Children’s Liturgy of the Word lectionary. Readings will be accompanied by lessons and activities. Children will return to the church before the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
The goal of CLOW is to help children understand and appreciate the liturgy as well as to prepare them to worship with the entire assembly in the future.
Our Youth Group typically meets twice a month and consists of fun, fellowship, guided prayer, and faith sharing and learning. Attendees are always welcome to bring a friend.
Our Youth Group participants are grades in 6-12. Groups are divided into middle school and high school breakout sessions. Sessions take place in the church hall from 6:00-7:30pm.
Youth Ministry meets on Sundays, unless otherwise noted. Some service and social events are not yet scheduled.

Trinity House Community is a Catholic ministry that inspires families to grow in faith together. The heart of the Trinity House Way is that families are a communion of persons; an image of the Holy Trinity.
Trinity House Community provides time for fun, fellowship, and faith sharing for all families. It is a time for our parish families of all ages to get to know each other and share ideas. Our goal is to help nourish faith journeys for all and to support families in living the Faith together.
You are invited to our first Trinity House Community following the 4:30 Mass (you’re welcome to come to the hall starting at 5:30) on Saturday, September 20 in the church hall for a simple meal and some fun. All are welcome including families and their children of all ages. Bring friends!
Please RSVP by calling the office this week or emailing Katie at [email protected] to help us plan for food and set up. Thank you! Please see the bulletin insert for more info.
Students attending Catholic school receive their regular faith formation within the Catholic school setting. Families with children in Catholic schools are encouraged, however, to still register for the faith formation year at Our Lady of Mercy and to select the “Catholic School” option so we can keep in contact with Catholic school families.
Please note: Catholic school students typically prepare for and receive the sacraments at their home parish.
Please call the parish office at 603-424-3757 with any questions. We are here to help support you and your family in living our Catholic faith!
